Richard Loomis is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Clinical Informatics Research & Development. "Though my clinical background is in anesthesiology, I became interested in informatics though my frustrating encounters with healthcare information systems. As such, I am particularly interested in clinician work-flow and interaction with EHR systems." His current project focuses on designing a shared patient problem list system and its interface with EHR documentation. Other interests include decision support and the potential economic impact of medical informatics on the healthcare industry.
