Please note: The program director will select a research project assignment and mentor for you based on the research interests described in your statement of objectives, current skillset, and previous research experience.
Applications
Your application must be submitted electronically through the Application Form. An application includes:
- A complete application form, including a statement of objectives listing details of any applicable research experience.
- An official transcript from your college or university.
- Two letters of recommendation from academic or research supervisors who are familiar with you as a student.
Transcripts
The program requires applicants to have transcripts submitted from all undergraduate institutions attended.
Please ask your college or university Registrar to email official e-transcripts to BMIsummer@hms.harvard.edu. If an e-transcript cannot be sent please contact BMIsummer@hms.harvard.edu to make alternative arrangements.
Recommendation Letters
Please ask your references to submit recommendation letters electronically through the Recommendation Form. They will be subject to identity verification as necessary. Alternatively, recommendations covering the topics mentioned in the form may also be emailed to BMIsummer@hms.harvard.edu.
