Andrew Ghazi, PhD

Statistical Geneticist, Core for Computational Biomedicine

Andrew Ghazi is a computational biologist at the Core for Computational Biomedicine. Prior to joining CCB, he obtained his PhD from Baylor College of Medicine, where his thesis focused on Bayesian modeling of high-throughput sequencing assays. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the lab of Dr. Curtis Huttenhower at the Broad Institute, where he developed statistical methodologies for multiomic data integration and strain-level metagenomic data. Dr. Ghazi is interested in combining large scale 'omics data with probabilistic modeling.
