Master of Medical Science in Biomedical Informatics, Class of 2013
Biomedical Informatics Research Training Fellow, 2011-2013
Andrew Zimolzak is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital. His research interest in general is to use large sets of structured data for knowledge discovery. "I can envision applying this technique at the individual level, to summarize records when a patient transitions from one hospital to another, or at the population level, for hypothesis generation or construction of models that predict adverse events." In his current project, Zimolzak analyzes patterns of adherence to chronic medications at the population level, as patients transition from childhood to adulthood. He is a practicing general internist, mainly in the outpatient urgent care setting.
