Avika Dixit is a pediatric infectious disease fellow at Boston Children's Hospital with training in public health and bioinformatics. Throughout her medical career, she has witnessed firsthand the scourge of tuberculosis that drives her passion for research in this field. Her work in the Farhat lab is focused on evolution and transmission of TB. In the future, she intends to leverage molecular, epidemiological, and large-scale public datasets to equip physicians, public health providers, and policy-makers with the knowledge to tackle critical challenges in TB control.
