Eric Yamga, MD, MBI
Master of Biomedical Informatics, Class of 2020
Eric Yamga is a medical resident in general internal medicine at the University of Montreal. Over the course of his medical training he gained interests in clinical informatics as a way to optimize quality and safety of healthcare and physicians’ efficiency. He aspires to use his experience as a clinician and his computational skills to conduct clinical research that is embedded in pressing clinical needs. At DBMI, he will be focusing on AI-assisted decision making, notably the modelling of clinical-decision algorithms and their bedside validation. Dr. Yamga's research interests include clinical decision support, informatics-based quality improvement, and data extraction optimization.
