Isabel Smokelin, SM
Master of Biomedical Informatics, Class of 2024
Isabel completed her BS in biomedical engineering through Tufts University, where she conducted research in the Optical Diagnostics for Diseased and Engineered Tissues Lab. She later joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Biological and Chemical Technologies Group where she performs applied research to address emerging national security challenges. After completing the MBI program, she hopes apply biomedical informatics to advance the field of medicine and biotechnology.
Her research interests include applying computational methods to solve problems in biotechnology and medicine.
