Jayson Marwaha is a general surgery resident at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Through the BIRT Fellowship, he will be spending two years of dedicated research time during residency learning more about applications of informatics in surgery at HMS and doing informatics research with Dr. Gabriel Brat, a trauma/critical care surgeon at BIDMC. His research interests are in clinical decision support; surgical quality and outcomes; trauma surgery and surgical critical care; and interpretability in machine learning. Aside from surgery and informatics, his other interests include writing, cycling, and rowing.
