Joshua Herigon, MD, MPH, MBI
Master of Biomedical Informatics, Class of 2020
Biomedical Informatics Research Training Fellow, 2018-2020
Joshua Herigon completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He is currently training in pediatric infectious diseases and clinical informatics at Boston Children’s Hospital. "My primary research interests are in antibiotic use and ensuring patients receive the right antibiotic at the right time for the right infection (so called “antimicrobial stewardship”). I hope to use our ever-expanding health information systems to identify areas of inappropriate antibiotic use and design digital interventions to optimize prescribing (in both the inpatient and outpatient settings) with the ultimate goal of reducing antibiotic resistance."
