Jumanah Alshenaifi, MBBS, MBI
Master of Biomedical Informatics, Class of 2019
Before joining the Master's program, Jumanah worked under Prof. Park’s supervision at Harvard University, where she was able to learn through training projects about whole-genome sequencing bioinformatics analysis tools for copy number variation (CNVs) calling in colorectal cancer TCGA data. She also worked on a project to characterize promoter mutations in relation to tumor aggressiveness using TCGA data. The combination of exposure to medicine and different genetics projects led to her interest in biomedical informatics and genomics. Jumanah hopes to advance her knowledge and craft her skills toward more focused applications of genomics.
