Saleem Ameen, SM
Saleem is passionate about utilizing emerging technologies to develop preventative health interventions that improve health outcomes in marginalized communities. Through his PhD in Medicine at the University of Tasmania, Australia, Saleem is designing an AI-based modality to improve colorectal cancer screening participation in disadvantaged migrant groups. His research has identified challenges in AI equity, motivating a further interest in developing robust AI methods for the healthcare sector. Saleem is interested in research related to colorectal cancer screening, patient-centered preventive health technology, and AI safety and equity.
