Thomas Smits, MBI

Thomas followed his undergraduate joint degree Life Science & Technology at Delft University of Technology and University of Leiden. During this time, he went on exchange to the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, to follow a program in Computational Neurobiology. He did an internship at the Delft Bioinformatics Institute, researching the interactions between the RBD of SARS-CoV-2 and the ACE2 receptor of various species. Furthermore, he had enjoyed being a Teaching Assistant for various courses. The past year Thomas has worked in the Dutch governmental vaccination program. His research interests include bioinformatics, immunology, neurobiology, and life sciences.
