Yourong (Maggie) Bao

Research Interests: Computational omics, integrative genomics, image and signal processing, developmental biology

Yourong received her BS degree in Biosciences at Rice University. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research at Baylor College of Medicine, focusing on the interpretation of single-cell sequencing data of patients with inherited retinal diseases. Her past research also involves working with human retinal organoids, studying retina development, and handling single-cell multi-omics data. She aspires to apply machine-learning tools to understand human genomics and inherited diseases.
